Position : Pavement Engineer – District 06, Ohio Department of Transportation
Location : District 6 Headquarters, Delaware County, Ohio
Compensation : $81,578 – $116,459 (full-time)
Responsibilities
- Work with the Pavement Management System to identify the paving program over the planning horizon.
- Program projects in ESS (Capital Program Management System) to account for the paving projects needed.
- Ensure the District Preservation Paving Program is fiscally constrained.
- Cost estimate pavement projects.
- Participate in scope meetings to provide guidance and direction.
- Perform field reviews.
- Coordinate with County Operations and Construction to address questions / concerns.
- Lead the Urban Paving Program and application process while engaging local communities.
- Plan and permit reviews to ensure standards and specs are met.
- Pavement design for proposed projects and activities.
- Data analysis on historical trends, projections, and activities.
Qualifications
Licensed as a registered professional engineer by the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors, or equivalent; 12 months experience as a transportation engineer.Must possess a valid driver's license if assigned to operate a state vehicle for site inspections.Experience leading groups or projects, providing direction and training to engineering technicians or lower-level engineers.Employment
