Industrial Superintendent
The Industrial Construction Superintendent will oversee and manage all aspects of industrial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. The position also requires the ability to travel up to 33% of the year.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that company policies, procedures, and quality standards are followed in accordance with the Quality Management System.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs) and ensure all owner safety requirements are met while actively working onsite.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Lead the planning process and monitor safety, execution, schedule, quality, and budgets.
- Develop and update project schedules and crew duties and responsibilities.
- Manage crews and subcontractor performance based on safety, attendance, productivity, or workmanship issues.
- Hold daily safety meetings and end-of-shift meetings and write daily reports.
- Order and schedule deliveries of materials, equipment, and tools.
- Track and update labor and material cost reports.
- Manage all onsite union relations.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Mentor tradespeople, foremen, and engineers for personal and company growth.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in construction, RFI, change order, project engineering, and project coordination.Experience with commercial construction, estimation, project scheduling, and blueprint reading.Experience with carpentry, concrete, steel fabrication, heavy rigging, and the installation of industrial equipment.Experience in the food & beverage industry.Willingness and ability to travel, preferably with prior travel experience.Strong construction management, project management, field engineering, and general contractor experience.Familiarity with ground-up building systems.Completion of a four-year college degree related to construction.At least five years of Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent experience with planning and executing construction.Additional Skills & Qualifications

The position is based out of the Janesville, Milwaukee, or Madison, WI office, with required travel to various construction projects across the country. Most work is located in the Midwest, but the company is expanding. The candidate will either relocate or move to one of these offices and be in the office when not on-site. The role involves managing projects that range from $5M to $100M, with durations from 6 weeks to a year. The candidate will receive per diem or have travel arrangements prebooked. For the right candidate, there is flexibility to sit anywhere in the Midwest with the expectation of being on-site in Madison between projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $54.00 / hr.
