Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is looking for a Director 1 for Sentinel Parts Material and Process Engineering within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division. This position can be located in Roy, Utah, Manhattan Beach, CA or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Systems.

This position will lead a multi-discipline team of Parts, Material and Process Engineers on Sentinel with a focus on positioning the program for success through EMD. Some key attributes of this role include :

• Provide senior leadership across multiple diverse programmatic areas including technical, cost and schedule
• Lead a diverse team of assigned matrixed engineers in developing and executing the vision and business strategy to achieve and exceed growth and overall performance metrics
• Develop trusted partnerships with key internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency, ownership of tasks, and accountability.
• Provide leadership to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Develop strategies to partner with the Functional Home Room Leadership Teams to add and retain current and future key talent.

• Recognize the importance of culture both at an individual and organizational level and with demonstrated commitment to and success in individual employee and broader organizational development.
• Partner effectively across organizational lines to achieve goals and objectives; preferably with specific appreciation for the interactions across various sites, engineering disciplines, processes, and roles and responsibilities on complex DoD programs.
• Coordinate with the broader NG organization to identify & leverage existing resources, tools, and practices.
• Effectively communicate progress to customers, senior leadership and companywide audiences
• Conduct thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation & realization.
• Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
• Ensuring program team understands & adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities

This position's standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range : $187,700.00 - $325,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
