Database Administrator
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thurs & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.
Required
10+ years designing, developing, and maintaining advanced MS Access databases (normalized tables, complex queries, forms, reports).
10+ years expert-level relational database design, normalization, ER modeling, schema refactoring, and translating Access models into SQL schemas.
10+ years Microsoft Access expertise : table design, queries, forms, reports, VBA for custom functionality & workflow automation.
10+ years migrating legacy databases into major cloud SQL services (Azure SQL DB / Managed Instance, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server / MySQL).
8+ years ETL tool experience (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, AWS DMS, or equivalent).
8+ years creating migration runbooks, data dictionaries, technical documentation, and delivering training / knowledge transfer sessions.
8+ years experience with RDBMS admin / console tools (TOAD, SSMS, SQL Developer).
8+ years configuring data integration & batch processing (Azure Data Factory, SSIS), monitoring ingestion, reviewing query plans, optimizing execution.
8+ years migrating data from legacy databases to new target databases.
Preferred
6+ years hands-on CI / CD methodology, GitHub, JIRA.
6+ years data visualization / reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
6+ years Agile Development Methodologies.
3+ years experience in healthcare or Public Health.
3+ years implementing and using Agile methodologies for one or more State of Texas Agencies .
