The Accounting Consultant will specialize in mastering the organization's expense allocation process , working closely with the existing specialist to understand the systems, controls, and reporting requirements. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial allocations while enabling greater operational capacity during a strategic project.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the current specialist to learn all aspects of the expense allocation model and associated controls.Master the expense allocation methodology , including understanding allocation drivers, modeling structure, and data flow.Analyze and interpret complex financial results and identify impacts of model changes.Create, validate, balance, and post journal entries in SAP.Maintain accounting controls and perform reconciliations to ensure data integrity.Collaborate with key business partners to deliver accurate financial reports.Required Experience
Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel , including formulas, pivot tables, and modeling.Proven experience in complex accounting allocations and model development.Strong background in journal entry creation, validation, and postingHands-on experience with SAP R3 or S4H (GLSU)Nice-to-Have Experience
Exposure to expense modeling for large financial institutions.Familiarity with financial controls and audit documentation processes.Experience training or transitioning responsibilities within finance functions.Required Skills
