Job Summary
Working as a member of our Research and Development team, the Electrical Engineer will design, develop, and modify cutting-edge electrical systems. As the bridge between technical innovation and practical implementation, you'll create solutions that power our products and infrastructure. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving, and a results-driven mindset.
Main Responsibilities
- Design & Maintenance – Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components to support plastics manufacturing and distribution operations. Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation using CAD software. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical equipment failures and automation issues.
- Cross-Functional Support – Collaborate with mechanical engineering, maintenance, production, and quality teams to integrate electrical systems and support operational efficiency. Provide training and technical guidance to maintenance personnel and machine operators.
- Compliance, Safety & Continuous Improvement – Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable industry codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE) and internal safety policies. Lead and participate in safety audits, preventive maintenance programs, and employee training. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Identify and execute electrical and automation upgrades that reduce downtime, enhance product quality, and increase energy efficiency. Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, within electrical and control systems. Conduct thorough testing and analysis to validate system safety and performance.
- System Troubleshooting & Optimization – Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including those involving mixed-signal microprocessor-based control products, across development, deployment, and post-deployment stages. Optimize system designs for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Identify and remove technical barriers to improved product or system performance.
- Project & Documentation Alignment – Ensure engineering activities align with overall project timelines, cost targets, and business objectives. Maintain comprehensive records of designs, test procedures and results, system configurations, and technical specifications.
