Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools. Basic shop math skills (i.e. convert between different units of measurement). Knowledge of G-code for proofing programs. Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and be cross trained. Good hands-on aptitude for mechanical systems. Full-Time 40 hours (Monday thru Friday) Willing to work overtime as required. ThermAvant is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist to operate Haas vertical machining centers to produce high quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work per ThermAvant’s safety practices and standard operating procedures
- Interact with engineers and manufacturing personnel to deliver products that meet design and quality requirements
- Inspect work to ensure requirements are met, and complete required paperwork to account for production and quality activity
- Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues
- Develop cost saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen)
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
