Associate Technical Audio Designer | North America | Europe | Fully Remote

We are looking for an Associate Technical Audio Designer to join our team. This role reports to the Audio Director and collaborates with audio designers and other disciplines to design, prototype, and implement audio systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with audio designers and other disciplines to design, prototype, and implement audio systems
  • Create and implement audio systems via Audiokinetic Wwise and Unreal Engine 5
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure audio is integrated into all aspects of gameplay and enhances the game experience
  • Spec out deliverables, identify dependencies, maintain documentation, and keep tasks within scope in coordination with the audio team and project producers
  • Work with the Audio and Core Tech teams to develop, document, and optimize internal audio technology and systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation on created systems
  • Act as a positive advocate and representative for the audio team within the studio and externally

What you will bring

  • Experience in audio implementation and mixing for games
  • Understanding of technical audio, including designing, implementing, and optimizing audio systems within middleware and game engines
  • Understanding of the game audio workflow and how it interacts with other disciplines
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints
  • Experience with Audiokinetic Wwise
  • Ability to work with different feature sets and requirements across consoles and formats
  • Experience with source control software, such as P4V
  • Experience in Audio Design for games or other media
