Kick off your investment casting engineering career by gaining the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to excel in your new Associate Engineer position with Hitchiner!
We are seeking engineers to be part of the Hitchiner Manufacturing Engineering Training Program. During this six-month training program, new Associate Engineers will be introduced to investment casting concepts at Hitchiner's R&D center in both classroom and shop floor environments which will prepare you for a position within Hitchiner's operations / manufacturing plants upon completion of the program.
The classroom and hands-on, shop floor training includes :
Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance :
1.Assist in investigating and initiating corrective action on manufacturing problems arising in the manufacture of products and in manufacturing problems associated with the inspection and testing of products.
2.Assist in establishing operating equipment specifications, improving manufacturing techniques and introducing new process equipment to production.Interface with design personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
3.Review and evaluate minor engineering changes and / or other specification requirements and perform technical liaison function with production planning and engineering personnel.
4.Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and / or procedures.
5.Prepare engineering schematics and parts lists for system components to facilitate manufacturing planning.
6.Perform industrial engineering assignments of a basic degree of complexity, involving the application of basic engineering principles to perform routine analysis and evaluation in support of plant engineering activities.Prepare plans and specifications for equipment, test equipment and tooling.Conduct analysis of methods and time standards.Evaluate findings and prepare reports, graphs, charts and data reflecting the results, conclusions and recommendations.
7.Must be capable of delivering on commitments in a timely and efficient manner.
8.Assignments typically will include design and development, materials testing, preparation of specifications, process study, report preparation, and other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific area of assignments.
