We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Signal Hill, California. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in credit card reconciliations, month-end processing, and daily bank deposits. As this is a long-term contract position, we are seeking a candidate with strong financial expertise and a commitment to supporting the team in achieving its financial goals.
Responsibilities :
- Perform credit card reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting of all transactions.
- Manage month-end processing tasks, including the preparation of aging reports and financial summaries.
- Process daily bank deposits and ensure all records are maintained accurately.
- Conduct credit and collections calls to customers, negotiating payment arrangements as needed.
- Assist with customer credit applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Work closely with branch staff and sales teams to collect outstanding balances and maintain updated customer accounts.
- Release sales orders in accordance with department guidelines and ensure compliance with credit policies.
- Develop and document payment plans, ensuring clear communication with customers regarding credit policies.
- Collaborate with management to support departmental and company-wide objectives.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of credit card reconciliations, cash applications, and collections processes.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing aging reports and managing aging accounts.
- Experience with commercial collections and billing functions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for handling credit and payment arrangements.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
