Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Neuro ICU Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 02 / 2025 Duration : 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring a Neuro ICU RN with at least 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and a KY or compact RN license for a night shift position with weekend and holiday requirements. Responsibilities Work in a Neuro ICU within a level 1 trauma hospital environment Patient population includes neurocritical care cases with management of ICP and lumbar drains Float to various neuroscience units and other ICUs within the hospital as needed Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Weekend and holiday shifts required Responsibilities include providing neurocritical care to patients with complex neurological conditions Staff may be required to float to additional neuroscience or ICU units based on hospital needs Holiday coverage is required as scheduled Return staff are eligible if separated for at least 90 days Previous work at this health system may affect eligibility for rehire First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro ICU, preferably at a level 1 trauma facility Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, EKG, NIHSS Experience with intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring and lumbar drains required Epic EMR experience preferred Candidates must provide one reference from a charge nurse or supervisor No licensure violations permitted for consideration Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625552.
