You'll manage the day-to-day activities of the Security Training Academy, ensuring our officers and leaders receive the certifications, tools, and resources needed to perform at the highest level. This is a dynamic leadership role where your expertise in training, compliance, and operations will directly impact safety, guest service, and enterprise readiness. THE DAY-TO-DAY :
- Lead daily operations of the Security Training Academy, managing instructors and ensuring training objectives are met.
- Create and maintain the master training schedule, ensuring all certifications and compliance deadlines are achieved.
- Oversee resources, including coursework, training equipment, and classroom facilities.
- Review and approve documentation, certifications, and reports to meet compliance standards.
- Provide performance metrics and reporting to Security leadership teams across MGM Resorts.
- Manage policies, processes, and technology tools to streamline training operations.
- Collaborate with leaders across properties to identify new training requirements and continuously improve Academy programs.
- Manage training budgets, inventories, and procurement processes.
- Deliver briefings, reports, and presentations to senior leaders and executives. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE :
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of supervisory / management experience.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, especially in emergencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executives and frontline staff.
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills; experience using technology to improve training efficiency.
