We are seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to provide technical support for PCs, Macs, TVs, printers, and scanners. This is an independent contractor role with flexible scheduling, where you accept jobs based on your availability.

Location : Multiple U.S. Cities (Local, Onsite Support)

Job Type : Independent Contractor (1099)

Pay : $40-$45 / hour (on-site) + mileage reimbursement over 20 miles one way

Schedule : Flexible

About The Role

We are hiring field IT technicians who can confidently support a wide range of tech needs for residential and small business customers. This includes troubleshooting PCs and Macs, resolving network issues, and repairing or configuring printers / scanners.

Key Responsibilities :

• Diagnose and repair hardware / software issues on Windows and macOS systems
• Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems
• Set up or troubleshoot Wi-Fi and wired internet connections
• Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.)
• Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.)
• Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity)
• Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs)
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media
• Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post-service support
• Document service visits and escalate complex issues as needed
