New Product Introduction Manager

The New Product Introduction team (NPI) works within the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) framework to achieve successful design and production while delivering exceptional quality standards. The NPI team is comprised of Operations Program Managers (OPM), Manufacturing Production Specialists (MPS), and Department Support Coordinators (DSC). NPI and the RLPM framework guides design and production over the entire lifecycle of the product to ensure product maturity milestones are established and achieved.

This role will be performed onsite in our Collins Aerospace location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

What You Will Do :

  • Acts as Operations focal for New Product Introduction, compliant with the Raytheon Lifecycle Program Management system
  • Participates in Gate Reviews from conception through Gate D transition
  • Establishes review and transition criteria which indicate predictable quality, schedule and cost
  • Creates, Communicates and Drives adherence to the Production Plan
  • Oversees Operation's Control Account Management Duties
  • Develops recommendations for cost reduction and process improvement opportunities
  • Facilitates and directs program scheduling activities through PP&C and the integrated management schedule
  • Leads materials and logistics problem resolution when related to performative issues
  • Occasional travel of one trip per quarter.

  • Identifies and communicates risks to program and project plan
  • Encourages resolution-based conversations and drives cross functional team to action
  • Interfaces with Program Office, and Engineering, and Operations Manufacturing
  • Qualifications You Must Have :

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Experience with business and project management tools and procedures.
  • Ability to influence development of project objectives and goals
  • SAP proficiency
  • Financial experience
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building, change management and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision
