The RN House Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Nursing Department staff for assigned shift. The RN House Supervisor will oversee professional nursing care within the treatment program. He / she will maintain sage and therapeutic environments within the units of the hospital by utilizing safety rules, infection control, therapeutic and professional boundaries. The RN House Supervisor will communicate all pertinent data directly to the Director of Nursing and to the Charge Nurses. He / she must practice ongoing patient assessments and directly oversee and participate in formulation, implementation and evaluation of nursing care plans and treatment. He / she will also be responsible for being an active leader in the nursing performance improvement program under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. He / she must have exceptional leadership skills and remain professional toward all staff, while also being able to address corrective actions to staff. Additionally, the RN House Supervisor will assist in admissions as needed during scheduled shift.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements :

• Current license to practice nursing in Arkansas (or eligible to receive or renew).
• 3+ years preferred in a manager / leadership nursing role.
• Current CPR or BLS certification. (offered at facility)Current Handle with Care training. (offered at facility)
• Minimum one year of experience in leadership / management / supervisor, preferred 3+ years of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting with patients aged 5-65yrs+.
