Job Overview :
The Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) helps children develop skills to overcome physical or cognitive challenges and participate in daily activities. Duties and Responsibilities : Assessment : Evaluate client’s physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities and limitations to determine their therapy needs Develop treatment plans : Creating a plan with goals, interventions, and timelines Provide therapy : Work with children one-on-one, in the clinic or their school, to help them perform everyday tasks and reach their goals. Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL).Educate :
Teach the child, their family, and caregivers how to use adaptive equipment and strategies to support the child's therapy goals Collaboration : Work with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, speech therapists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care Monitor progress : Tracking the child's progress to ensure they are meeting their goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.Observe, note and report on the progress of long-term and short-term treatment goals.Documentation :
Collect data and document processes followed. Submit paperwork to the agency within established deadlines.Skills and Qualifications :
