Responsibilities Work in a hospital setting on a 46-bed Med / Surg Tele unit Primary patient population includes trauma surgery, bariatric, abdominal, amputation, and urological cases, with additional medical and cardiac overflow Night shifts consist of three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 7 : 30 Every other weekend and every other holiday are required No on-call responsibilities Floating may occur within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals depending on volume and census Cerner EMR experience is required Responsibilities include caring for post-surgical and trauma patients, managing overflow medical / cardiac cases, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team Professional conduct is strictly enforced and any issues may result in contract termination Modules must be completed within 1 week of signing assignment Travelers are expected to work at least one of the three holidays if requesting time off during holidays Requirements Active MI RN license required Minimum of 1 year recent Med / Surg Tele nursing experience required Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Cerner charting experience required Travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted First-time travelers will be considered Must complete up to 8 hours of training modules before start Former staff may return only if they have been gone for at least 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626232.
