Murfreesboro, TN\nNEW-Student Loan Assistance Available\n6 West is a 36 bed unit with 8 dedicated Observation rooms for recovering patients with outpatient TR bands, blood transfusions, and other patients that are receiving tests / treatment as an observation patient. These patients are either discharged from this unit or if they need to be admitted then they are transferred to an inpatient unit.

Other patient populations in these beds are : \nCardiac Arrhythmias\nChest Pain\nPost Cardiac Catheterization\nHeart Failure\nTIA / Stroke rule out\nHemodialysis\nHydronephrosis\nNephrolithiasis\nBlood Transfusions

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.\nImplement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.\nServe as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.\nNote and carry out physician and nursing orders.\nAssess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration : \nBLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.\nOne or more of the following required :

Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education : \nDiploma from an accredited school / college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of\nhire.
