Distributed Systems Engineer

A company is looking for a Distributed Systems Engineer (L5) - Service Networking.

Key Responsibilities

Build and operate functionality within the data plane and control plane to enhance security, observability, and resilience for cloud traffic

Improve developer and product experience through collaboration with team members and customers

Required Qualifications

Experience in building and operating highly reliable distributed systems in a cloud environment

Knowledge of Service Mesh technologies such as Envoy, Istio, and LinkerD

Experience with performance optimization for Service Mesh

Deep understanding of gRPC and security concerns like DDoS, TLS, and authentication

Ability to navigate ambiguous areas and break down complex problems with minimal guidance
