Position Overview : We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pain Management team in a part-time capacity. In this vital role, you will provide professional post-anesthesia nursing care for patients of all ages, employing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure high-quality patient care.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
- Directly providing and / or supervising professional post-anesthesia nursing care for a designated group of patients.\n
- Guiding and mentoring other members of the PACU or pre-operative staff.\n
- Exercising decision-making authority in the absence of departmental management regarding patient care.\n\nQualifications : \n
- Education : Graduate of an NLN accredited school of professional nursing.\n
- Licensure : Valid New Mexico RN license or a current Compact state license.\n
- Certifications : BLS certification is required within 2 weeks of hire; ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.\n\nSkills Required : \n
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others.\n
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, ensuring safe patient care.\n
- Commitment to personal and professional growth through goal-setting and educational activities.\n
- Knowledge of and adherence to professional nursing standards.\n\nExperience : Previous experience in PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing is preferred.\n\nWork Environment : You will work in a setting with direct contact with blood and body fluids where universal precautions are mandatory. Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment is essential.\n\nPhysical Requirements : The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds or 150 pounds with assistance.
