As the Staff Accountant , you’ll report directly to the Finance Manager and play a central role in the following areas :
- Process invoices, maintain vendor records, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments across multiple accounts—personal, business, and charitable endeavors.
- Reconcile accounts, post payments, and deliver financial data to empower decision-making processes.
- Assist with tax payments, manage credit card activity, work on grant-related systems, and support the Finance Manager on special projects.
- Act as a liaison with select system vendors and help streamline processes using innovative financial tools.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, preparing budgets and financial statement preparation.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience :
1-3 years of relevant accounting experience is requiredA Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Skills and Competencies :
Strong understanding of foundational accounting principles and practices, including tax requirements.Proficiency in financial software and Excel; experience with Sage Intacct is an advantage.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.Self-motivation with the ability to thrive both independently and within a team environment.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in handling sensitive information.
