Position Title : Accountant 2

Business Unit : Finance

Reports To : Varies

Position Overview :

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the manager with the applicable entities assigned month-end closing duties, planning, forecasting and reporting, regulatory reporting requirements, general ledger account reconciliations and with special projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities :

Performs the monthly closing process for assigned reporting entities.

Assists with the completion of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Completes the monthly financial reporting package for assigned reporting entities that includes variance to plan and prior year analysis.

Assists with special projects and analysis as requested.

Reviews monthly account reconciliations for assigned general ledger balance sheet accounts in an accurate and timely manner and maintains confidentiality in accordance with the corporation's guidelines.

Prepares journal entries for applicable reporting entities.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

MS Word - Basic Level

Familiarity with regulations governing accounting in a financial institution and experience in financial institution policies and procedures preferred but not required.

Accounting or Finance Degree preferred
