A global leader in advanced materials and surface engineering, is seeking a Research Engineer to lead the development and implementation of next-generation coating solutions used across aerospace, energy, and industrial applications. What Youll Do as a Research Engineer :

As a Research Engineer, youll drive innovation in the design, testing, and optimization of thermal spray coatings that enhance wear, corrosion, and thermal protection performance. Youll collaborate with global customers and internal partners to develop new technologies and improve existing applications.

Key Responsibilities Include :

Lead R&D efforts in developing and improving thermal spray coatings and processes

Design fixtures, masks, and robotic spray programs for coating applications

Plan and prioritize projects, defining work sequences, resources, and timelines

Support Sales, Customer Service, and Global Marketing teams with technical expertise

Prepare and present reports, documentation, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders

Travel up to 25% to support customer sites and technology transfers

What Were Looking for in a Research Engineer :

Bachelors degree (or higher) in Materials Science, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering

3+ years of industry or academic experience in thermal spray coating technologies

Knowledge of thermal spray techniques such as plasma, HVOF, or related processes

Familiarity with material classes used in coatings and their performance attributes

Hands-on experience in industrial, aviation, automotive, or laboratory environments

Strong communication, planning, and documentation skills

U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person (per ITAR / EAR regulations)
