LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of an electrical contracting firm in Arlington Heights with over a century of proven excellence and innovation. As they continue this exciting growth trajectory, they are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team and help build the HR infrastructure that will support our expanding workforce. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will serve as a critical link between leadership, employees, and field operations to ensure smooth HR functions and a positive employee experience.

Senior Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities

  • Oversee onboarding of all new hires, ensuring a seamless and engaging introduction to the company.
  • Maintain full compliance with HR onboarding and employment documentation requirements.
  • Act as liaison between payroll and field operations to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Manage the company's timekeeping platform—inputting new hires, maintaining records, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Administer employee benefits including insurance enrollment, changes, terminations, and open enrollment periods.
  • Support payroll processes, including employment verifications and related administrative tasks.
  • Partner with leadership to drive talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Coordinate and manage pre-employment drug testing and related compliance requirements.

Senior Human Resources Generalist Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in construction, electrical contracting, or similar field-based environments.
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to take on new challenges in a growing environment.
