Senior Helpers Portland West, a family-owned and operated home care agency, is hiring a dedicated part-time caregiver to support a senior in Oregon City. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in one person's life while enjoying a flexible schedule and a supportive work environment.

About the Client :

This client has dementia and requires a caregiver who is :

  • Patient, calm, and confident with personal care
  • Creative in engaging the client in activities and conversation
  • Positive, empathetic, and emotionally steady

Please note : The home includes a large dog and a cat, so comfort with pets is essential. The location is in the countryside, so reliable transportation and a willingness to drive there are required.

Position Details

  • Schedule : 15 hours / week to start, with potential to increase to 25-30 hours / week
  • Pay : $18.50-$20 / hour
  • Location : Oregon City

    • Responsibilities

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping
  • Drive the client to appointments and errands
  • Monitor health and communication with family and care team

    • Requirements

  • Ability to perform personal care tasks confidently
  • Must be 18+, have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle
  • Previous caregiving experience preferred, but training is provided
