DEFINITION / PRIMARY FUNCTION

Performs various technical duties to administer complex cardio-pulmonary care treatments to patients according to the physicians verbal or written orders.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience :

At least one year experience preferred working in the respiratory therapy field.

Education and Training :

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.

Associates and / or Bachelors degree preferred.

Completion of accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

License, Certification & Registration :

CPR

MARTL - MA Respiratory Therapist license

NBRC-CRT-National Board Respiratory Care CRT

ACLS preferred

Other Requirements :

Ability to cross train in the Cardio side of department ie : EKG, Stress tests, Holter Monitors, Event Monitors and EEGs.

Ability to follow the AARC guidelines.
