Position Summary :
The Manufacturing / Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality. This role works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, support new product introduction, and optimize existing operations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyze, design, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions that enhance production flow.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for production issues.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation of new manufacturing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment on process improvements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven methods to improve operations.
- Lead or participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing and validating new manufacturing methods and tooling.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering (or related field).3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process development, or related role (preferably in a production environment).Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles.Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with ERP / MRP systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., metal fabrication, electronics, plastics, aerospace, etc.].Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).Hands-on experience with process automation or robotics integration.Work Environment :
Primarily on-site in a manufacturing environment with regular interaction on the production floor.Company Description
