Key Responsibilities
- Legal Research : Investigate statutes, regulations, case law, and legal articles to support attorneys.
- Document Preparation : Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, affidavits, and discovery materials.
- Case Management : Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage legal calendars.
- Client Communication : Liaise with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates.
- Filing and Recordkeeping : File legal documents with courts and maintain accurate records.
- Trial Preparation : Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions by organizing exhibits and evidence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Associate’s degree or certificate in paralegal studiesStrong understanding of legal terminology and proceduresProficiency in legal research tools and office softwareExcellent organizational and analytical skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesPreferred Experience
2+ years in a legal setting (law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency)Experience in specific legal areas such as litigation, real estate, family law, or corporate lawCompany Description
