Job Overview

Responsible for all robots in the body shop. Monitors the factory's performance, manages & allocates manpower, strengthens & develops the organization's production & planning structure. Develops, implements, and improves complex manufacturing production processes and methods.

Responsibilities

• Support training of maintenance and production employees.
• Update technology packages and Kuka software system updates.
• Develop best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability.
• Manage continuous improvement processes to create a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions using 8D Problem Solving Process.
• Develop operational strategies to achieve production and financial objectives.
• Assure product and process quality by designing complex testing methods and establishing standards.
• Participate in budget preparation, monitor expenses, and profitability.
• Write spec books; request and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Design, document, and implement medium to large-scale manufacturing processes.
• Utilize system analysis of production methods, procedures, and process automations for growth improvements.
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Evaluate current production activities and drive improvements.
• Periodically ensure that highly technical equipment meets required specifications and high quality standards.
• Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
• Contribute to product and process quality design testing methods.
• Develop planning standards, methods, and procedures.
• Plan workplaces considering ergonomics.
• Stay current with product specifications, engineering technology, and production processes.
• Provide guidance to team members; mentor and develop less senior manufacturing engineers.
• May act as deputy for Production Manager.
• Propose and manage medium-scale projects from beginning to end; may scope and manage large capital investment projects (>

$5M).
