Job Summary

The College of Coastal Georgia seeks qualified applicants for the part time applicant pool in the area of Criminal Justice. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the Criminal Justice degree program in the School of Business and Public Management during the 2025-2026 academic year. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities -

The successful candidate will teach one to two courses either in person or online contingent to the needs of the College. Essential duties include : maintaining office hours (for part-time instructors, this is typically prior to a scheduled class time or scheduled times for online consultations via Microsoft Teams), preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams, and submission of final grades and attendance reports. Completion of mandatory training in cyber security, sexual harassment, and ethics is also required.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • A Masters degree in Criminal Justice or closely related field is required.

Required Experience

  • Experience in the field of criminal justice (law enforcement, courts, corrections)
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Preferred Experience

  • Particular experience is sought in the corrections area of the criminal justice system (state, local, or federal), in probation or parole supervision
