Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) is the senior leader responsible for driving the success of our home care agency. This role oversees all aspects of day-to-day operations—including Administration, HR, Finance, Scheduling, Recruitment, and Client Services—while ensuring exceptional client care, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. The ideal candidate has direct leadership experience in home care operations, with a proven ability to balance strategic growth and hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Compliance
- Direct overall home care agency operations with accountability for performance, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing home care and employment practices.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and quality standards across all service areas.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration.
- Partner with accounting to manage billing, collections, and accounts receivable.
- Monitor budgets, financial performance, and KPIs to maintain fiscal health and profitability.
Recruitment, Hiring & Onboarding
Lead recruitment of caregivers, administrative staff, and leadership positions.Drive staffing strategies to meet client demand and maintain 100% staffing accuracy.Oversee structured onboarding programs that support caregiver readiness and retention.Client Care Management
Oversee client intake, assessments, and care planning to ensure quality, personalized service.Build and maintain strong client and family relationships to promote satisfaction and trust.Lead the Client Care Management team to deliver outstanding care aligned with agency standards.Scheduling & Operations
Direct scheduling teams to ensure efficient, timely caregiver assignments.Oversee call handling with empathy and responsiveness.Troubleshoot staffing or service issues in real time to ensure client satisfaction.Leadership & Culture
Hire, mentor, and develop department heads and frontline staff.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and client-centered service.Represent the agency with community partners, referral sources, and industry stakeholders.Qualifications
Minimum 7–10 years progressive leadership experience in home care administration .Demonstrated success overseeing operations in HR, payroll, scheduling, billing, recruitment, and client care.Strong financial acumen, including budget management and payroll / benefits oversight.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and scale operations in home care.Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Performance Metrics
