Engineering Manager Role

We are seeking a technically strong and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead testing activities for our next-generation Camera and Light Source product lines within our Endoscopy R&D team. This is a brand-new role offering the opportunity to build upon a solid foundation of existing test practices while driving the evolution toward greater automation and earlier test integration in the development cycle.

Youll lead a talented, highly engaged team of engineers across San Jose, Burnaby, and India, helping shape test methodologies, strengthen compliance rigor, and enable faster, more efficient product development.

What You Will Do

Technical & Managerial Leadership You will :

• Lead and expand a team of test engineers responsible for testing innovative medical device systems.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies spanning manual and automated approaches.
• Provide hands-on technical direction in unit, integration, regression, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and simulation-based testing.
• Drive the transition from 100% manual testing to a balanced 5080% automation model over time.
• Champion test-first methodologies that engage verification earlier in the development process.
• Partner closely with development and systems engineering to align test execution with design and product goals.
• Ensure compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards through robust test documentation and disciplined verification practices.

Preferred Qualifications

$150,300 - $245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
