Forest Lake Area School District is seeking a reliable and motivated General Custodian to join our facilities team.

This full-time position plays a key role in providing students, staff, and community members with a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

Your Role Will Include :

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and collecting trash / recycling.
  • Clean and restock restrooms; maintain classrooms by wiping surfaces, cleaning sinks and glass, vacuuming carpets, and scrubbing hard floors.
  • Maintain custodial equipment and storage areas in safe working condition.
  • Complete minor repairs and assist with general facility upkeep.
  • Support school activities by setting up and moving equipment as needed.
  • Secure the building at the end of the shift, including setting alarms.
  • Work independently and as part of a team while maintaining positive interactions with staff, students, and the public.
  • Demonstrate reliability, strong attendance, and consistent work ethic.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Special Boiler License preferred or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and supplies as required.
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.

    • Successful completion of background check.  Salary and Benefits :

  • $17.98 – $20.48 per hour + $0.55 shift differential Benefits - Dental, life insurance, paid holidays, and medical insurance.

    • Location & Shift Times :

  • Columbus Elementary, FT, Monday–Friday, 3 PM – 11 : 30 PM.

    • Forest Lake Area Middle School, FT, Monday - Friday 2 PM - 10 :
