Job Description
The Proposal Writer will play a key role in developing and producing compelling proposals, qualifications packages, and marketing materials that showcase the firm’s expertise. This position supports business development efforts across all offices, for a consistent and high-quality brand presence in every submittal. This role also offers opportunities for growth and development within the firm. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage qualification packages, and presentations in response to RFQs / RFPs for municipal, county, federal, and private-sector clients.
- Develop, edit, and format content including project descriptions, staff resumes, and supporting materials tailored to client requirements.
- Maintain and update the firm’s marketing collateral library (resumes, project sheets, boilerplate text, graphics, etc.).
- Work closely with project managers and technical staff to gather input, develop narratives, and ensure accuracy in proposal content.
- Support the development of interview materials including PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and graphics.
- Track opportunities in the firm’s CRM system and support business development reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, Business, or related field.2–4 years of marketing or proposal coordination experience, preferably in the A / E / C industry.Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign preferred).Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple offices.Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or other CRM / proposal management systems is a plus.Company Description
