Join our team to lead public outreach, community events, and assist in conservation programs that support water stewardship in Iron County.

Company Background : The Central Iron County Water Conservancy District is a public water provider and is charged with conserving, developing, and stabilizing the Cedar Valley water supply for the benefit of all current and future water users and consumers in the region. The Water District educates residents about conservation, reuse, and water import strategies as it strives to meet the challenges of declining water levels and community growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead public outreach and education efforts, including community engagement and awareness campaigns
  • Coordinate Water District events like Water Fair, Water Festival, Localscapes classes, and community booths
  • Assist and attend meetings with the General Manager, supporting strategic communication and emergency response coordination
  • Manage press releases, newsletters, social media, and website updates
  • Assist in conservation programs and represent Central Iron County Water Conservancy District on regional boards
  • Occasional travel and evening meetings (1–3 days / month)

Ideal Candidate :

  • Strong communicator with experience in public relations and event planning
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable with public speaking
  • Flexible schedule and ability to manage multiple projects

    • Salary / Benefits :

    Salary Range $68,000-$100,000 DOE

    Enrollment in the Utah State Retirement System

    Life, AD&D, medical, and dental insurance

    Vacation, Sick Leave, and Paid Holidays.
