Toyota's OneTech Manufacturing Tech Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated OpsCenter Engineer.
The OpsCenter Engineer will play a key technical role in implementation, configuration, and support of Siemens OpCenter as part of our Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) program for the new Toyota battery plant. The ideal candidate is a hands-on MES engineer with a strong background in Siemens OpCenter and an understanding of high-volume manufacturing environments.
Reporting to the Siemens MOM Product Owner, the person in this role will support the Manufacturing Tech Services department to design, develop, configure, and optimize OpCenter and support manufacturing, quality, and logistics.
Business Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with quality operations leaders and subject matter experts.
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process mapping sessions to capture current and future state workflows.
- Document detailed business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications for OpCenter quality modules.
Solution Alignment
Collaborate with developers, testers, and solution architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented.Validate that OpCenter configurations meet documented business needs through functional reviews and UAT support.Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize quality processes using MES capabilities.Change & Communication Support
Assist in developing training materials, SOPs, and user guides related to quality processes in OpCenter.Communicate system changes, enhancements, and impacts to quality operations teams.Program & Project Support
Participate in agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demos, to represent the quality business perspective.Maintain requirements traceability and manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle.Support testing by reviewing test cases and validating that quality workflows function as intended.What you bring
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of business analysis experience, with at least 3 years in manufacturing or quality systems.Strong understanding of manufacturing quality processes, including defect tracking, non-conformance management, and SPC (Statistical Process Control).Experience documenting business processes and functional requirements for enterprise systems.Familiarity with MES / MOM platforms (Siemens OpCenter preferred).Added bonus if you have
Automotive or battery manufacturing industry experience.Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement background.Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar requirements management tools.Strong communication and facilitation skillsAnalytical mindset with attention to detailAbility to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirementsCollaborative approach to working with technical and business teamsUnderstanding of quality compliance and regulatory requirementsWhat we'll bring
