Responsibilities
- Records Classification and Metadata Management : Establish and maintain a records classification system aligned with DoD guidelines. Implement consistent metadata tagging for records identification, retrieval, and lifecycle management. Ensure compliance with DoD security, encryption, and data handling standards, including tagging and retention policies.
- Records Lifecycle Management : Monitor records throughout their lifecycle, including storage, retrieval, and disposition. Conduct periodic records audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare records for audits, inspections, and secure file transfers between locations.
- Document Digitization and Version Control : Scan and digitize paper documents for electronic storage as required. Implement version control for documents to ensure accuracy and consistency. Create and maintain a well-structured electronic filing system for easy retrieval.
- Knowledge Management and Repository Development : Develop and maintain a knowledge repository for internal work products, references, and other files. Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture and organize implicit knowledge. Implement user-friendly search and retrieval systems for knowledge assets.
- Technical and Analytical Support : Address tactical and strategic information and data management needs in support of mission and business processes. Recommend solutions to document storage challenges using advanced analytics and IT systems. Regularly review knowledge resources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience : 1+ years of related experienceTechnical skills :Experience in developing and implementing all aspects of a records and information lifecycle program.
Familiarity with DoD Records Management Systems and USCENTCOM Electronic Records Management Application (ERMA).Strong experience with MS Office365 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint Online).Ability to work with metadata management tools and document versioning systems.Ability to develop or recommend analytic approaches or solutions to complex problems.Experience in formulating and delivering records and information management training.Ability to focus research efforts to meet decision-making needs.Proven ability to collaborate effectively via virtual teams and interact with all levels of management.Strong oral and written communication skills.Desired Skills :Familiarity with AI / ML tools and techniques for document classification and retrieval (e.g., NLP for metadata tagging).
Understanding of DoD AI / ML strategies and ethical standards for responsible deployment.Security clearance level : Current TS / SCI clearance required.Must be able to work on site at MacDill AFB. Not a remote role.GDIT is your place
