Our firm is seeking a full time Litigation Associate Attorney to join our team. Please find the job details below!

Responsibilities :

The Litigation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation, from the initial client meeting through the final resolution of the case. Specific duties will include :

1. Drafting, reviewing, and arguing motions in court.

2. Conducting thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.

3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence, and making compelling arguments on their behalf.

4. Collaborating with other attorneys and support staff to ensure all cases are handled efficiently and effectively.

5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations that may impact our clients.

6. Providing clients with regular updates on case progress and potential outcomes.

7. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients where appropriate.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications :

1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a litigation attorney, preferably in a law firm setting.

3. Admission to the IL state bar.

4. Proven experience with drafting and arguing motions in court.

5. Strong legal research skills, with the ability to analyze complex legal issues and synthesize information effectively.

6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.

7. Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.

8. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.

9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.

10. The ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
