Description :

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for patients assigned to physical therapy.

The Physical Therapist adheres to all standards of practice as they apply to providing technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

The therapist gathers pertinent data from charts and other caregivers and discusses with physicians as necessary.

They independently assess all patient types as assigned.

The therapist demonstrates the ability to recognize additional needs during evaluations and exercises good judgment in decision-making when requesting, scheduling, or performing additional testing.

They interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals.

Reassessment of patient progress occurs regularly per department and regulatory policy or when the need arises.

The therapist identifies appropriate equipment and discusses options with patients and families.
