Security Professional Mall Patrol Driver

As a Security Professional Mall Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining a visible presence within a vibrant retail environment. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while fostering a positive atmosphere. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Thur 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Fri 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

Sat 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and / or responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas within the retail location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the store, parking lot, and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activities and promote a secure environment for employees and customers.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, documenting and reporting all security-related matters as required.
  • Work closely with store management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related concerns and provide support as needed.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, or unusual behavior, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and / or other disruptive activities.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
