Commercial Category Manager – Jewelry / Fine Watches
Location : Miami, Florida
$90,000 plus 10% potential bonus
We are seeking a Commercial Category Manager with deep expertise in jewelry or fine watches to join a leading global travel experience company. This is a unique opportunity to shape the sourcing and commercial strategy for premium product categories across a diverse network that reaches millions of travelers annually.
The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills along with proven experience in jewelry buying for both domestic and international markets.

Our client is a global leader in the travel retail and F&B sector, operating 5,500 outlets across more than 75 countries and six continents.
Responsibilities
The Commercial Category Manager will be responsible for organizing and coordinating country-level sourcing strategies for local suppliers within the jewelry or fine watches category. You will work closely with global category heads, marketing, and retail operations to drive promotions, optimize margins, and enhance overall category performance.
Planning
Define and execute the sourcing strategy aligned with global category objectives.
Set expectations for local supplier negotiations, prepare supporting documentation, and conduct negotiations within approved parameters.
Organizing
Manage the sell-through and liquidation of discontinued items.
Implement approved operational changes and monitor results.
Develop and execute action plans to achieve budgeted margins for local manufacturers and brands.
Evaluating & Analysis
Monitor and ensure adherence to global margin policies for local products.
Coordinate and oversee promotions, including the development and validation of promotional calendars.
Analyze commercial performance metrics—sales, inventory, margins, payment terms, and SKU assortment.
Track and evaluate product and supplier performance to propose actionable improvements.
Review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Optimize stock levels and assess the performance of existing items to maximize profitability.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
5–7 years of retail experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
Prior experience in jewelry buying for domestic and international markets.
Background in retail jewelry store management or jewelry sales (GIA or similar certification is a plus).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
High proficiency in MS Office and related software tools.
Solid coaching and mentoring capabilities.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Experience in the Travel Retail sector preferred.
