Under the supervision of the District Court Judge and Attorney / Magistrate - Deputy Court Administrator, serves as court officer for an assigned courtroom including assisting in maintaining order in the courtroom area, directing parties to proper location, taking charge of juries, and providing general assistance to the Judge. Maintains records of specified actions in the court, makes entries into the file, and prepares necessary forms. Performs a variety of administrative support tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by additional college or vocational training in criminal justice and one year of progressively more responsible experience in a court or law enforcement setting. Valid Michigan driver’s license. LEIN certification or able to become LEIN certified.
Current salary range starting at $19.39 / hr progressing to $25.27 / hr (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.
