Caregiver (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Job Summary :
PlanMerica Home Care Solutions is seeking dedicated and compassionate full-time and part-time caregivers to provide non-medical home care services to clients in Indianapolis, Indiana and the surrounding counties. Caregivers assist with attendant care, homemaker services, and transportation while ensuring clients receive quality, respectful, and individualized care. This role may involve caring for family members, friends, or non-related clients.
Shifts vary based on client needs and will be confirmed at the time of the job offer. Employment is contingent upon passing a background check, drug screening, pre-employment physical, and any required assessments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Attendant Care : Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, toileting, and meal preparation.
- Homemaker Services : Provide light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal planning to maintain a clean and safe home environment.
- Companionship & Supervision : Engage in conversation, offer emotional support, and ensure the client's safety and well-being.
- Medication Reminders & Assistance : Ensure clients take medications as prescribed (no direct administration).
- Transportation Services : Drive or accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, and community outings (if applicable).
- Care Plan Adherence : Follow individualized care plans, report changes in a client’s physical or mental condition, and communicate concerns to the supervisor.
- Documentation : Accurately log services provided and report any incidents per company policy.
- Compliance : Follow all federal, state, and company policies, including HIPAA regulations, client rights, and confidentiality.
Professional Conduct & Judgment :
Maintains appropriate communication through proper documentation, timely reporting, and adherence to company policies and procedures.Exercises good judgment in all aspects of client care, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and compliance with company standards.Demonstrates professionalism, responsiveness, and reliability in all duties.Provides services with respect, patience, and compassion while upholding ethical caregiving practices.Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years old.High school diploma or GED preferred.Background check, drug screening, pre-employment physical, and assessments required.Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation required (for positions that include transportation services).Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (as needed for client assistance).Must have strong communication skill s and the ability to follow care plans.Experience as a caregiver, CNA, or HHA is a plus but not required (training available).Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.Compensation & Benefits :
