Lifeguard
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for direct and constant pool surveillance, provides emergency response to drowning and medical events, enforces all safety rules and regulations, and ensures a safe and fun swimming environment for all patrons.

Tools & Equipment Requires frequent use of emergency, lifesaving equipment and basic pool cleaning / maintenance tools and equipment.
Physical Demands Requires frequent swimming, standing, walking, sitting, talking, handling, feeling or operating objects, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Requires reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing. Requires moderate to vigorous physical activity with heavy lifting, up to one hundred (100) pounds, including the pulling or lifting of a limp body. Requires close and distance vision acuity and the ability to adjust focus, allowing a broad field of vision.
Every employee in this position should assume strenuous physical activity in saving a patron's life may be required.
Environment Work is frequently performed at an indoor or outdoor pool with exposure to high levels of humidity and varying temperatures. The noise level is usually high and may range from moderate to extreme. The employee may occasionally work with or around hazardous items or hazardous conditions such as mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, chemicals, or radiant energy.
Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis until a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received. Full pay range for Lifeguard is $19.10 / hr. - $24.20hr.
Part-time and seasonal Town of Parker employees have limited access to benefits which include; employee assistance program (EAP), one (1) hour of sick time accrued for every thirty (30) hours worked, and employee plus one (1) other member in your household a membership to the Parker Recreation Center and / or Fieldhouse.
