Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate the values and guiding principles of OhioGuidestone, performing with the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and ethics.
  • Serve as a member of the strategic leadership team and contribute to strategic planning and goal setting.
  • Develop and implement organization-wide strategies to create a culture where staff and clients feel valued, respected, and heard.
  • Design and implement strategies that foster a sense of belonging for clients, staff, and community partners, while driving advocacy efforts that influence behavioral health policy and practice.
  • Design and execute policy advocacy strategies in alignment with OhioGuidestone's vision and mission.
  • Serve as a liaison with local, state, and national policy leaders, coalitions, and advocacy networks.
  • Prepare briefings and position papers to support legislation and public awareness campaigns.
  • Lead volunteer programs, community partnerships, and client advisory councils to ensure stakeholder voices inform services and strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to amplify purpose-driven narratives.
  • Advise OhioGuidestone leadership on action items and initiative implementations to deliver on objectives and key results.
  • Guide and provide oversight to OhioGuidestone's BA&P programs and employee-led groups including OhioGuidestone's BA&P Council and location-specific BA&P advisory groups, and Employee Interests Groups (ERGs).
  • Partner with Human Resources to integrate BA&P into outcomes through recruitment, retention, and leadership development.
  • Develop and / or facilitate training opportunities to educate employees and managers on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences and to serve as a change agent to provide solutions, resources and training on inclusion & belonging related topics.
  • Be the BA&P subject matter expert providing coaching and mentorship as well as contributing perspective, insights, knowledge, and the enablement of all employees from individual contributors to executive-level leaders.
  • Exhibit positivity, flexibility and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership, promote a team-based work environment and a culture of belonging.
  • Present the Agency in the most positive light with all internal and external contacts.

Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Master's degree in public health, social work, psychology, public administration, or a related field helpful.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in organizational development, employee culture and engagement, advocacy, or behavioral health program administration.
  • Qualifications :

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with well-developed communication skills with ability to teach, lead critical conversations and adapt messages to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence policy, build community coalitions, and drive organizational change.
  • Deep understanding of systemic barriers in behavioral health, especially those affecting marginalized populations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, balancing multiple projects simultaneously and thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across all levels within the organization as well as cross functionally and cross culturally.
  • Resourceful, organized and possess strong attention to detail.
  • Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
  • Ability to travel across the state of Ohio as needed.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug tests, background checks, and any other required assessments, such as a physical examination and TB test.
