External Manufacturing Analyst

The External Manufacturing Analyst utilizes Mars systems (SAP, Rapid Response, Sharepoint) to interpret and analyze data to maintain a healthy supply chain for the MW External Manufacturing network. When supply chain challenges or customer service risks present themselves, this role collaborates with supply chain functional teams (Planning, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, COM Sourcing, Buying Ops, Finance, etc.) to facilitate resolution. Partnering with the External Manufacturing Manager and Supply Planning teams (Network Planners and Execution Planners), the Analyst is the primary point of contact between Mars and third-party co-manufacturing and copacking vendors and the rest of the MW Supply Chain organization.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, finance, management, supply chain, or related field AND / OR 3+ years in supply chain or manufacturing experience.
- 1+ years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing experience.
- High level of demonstrated computer end-user skills; i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
- Proficiency of SAP and / or Rapid Response.
- Concise communication and leadership skills.
- Comfort facilitating remote meetings and reporting results to senior management and site leaders.
- Experience in material scheduling (scheduling / planning, procurement operations, etc.).

Review production plan in Rapid Response and align with supply planning on schedule handoff to the site, negotiate / commit production schedule with site.Manage SAP production purchase order and update to reflect current schedule; monitor proper PO closure.Proactively identify potential inbound supply issues; resolve with supply planning, EMM and EM site while managing customer service impacts.Actively contribute to FMOS touch points daily.Monitor differences between the committed schedules and actual production (schedule adherence) to identify / mitigate risks to customer service.Manage on-site inventory in SAP by executing established inventory and financial controls (physical audits, cycle counts, system-to-system reconciliations).Support new item and new production location startups, provide inputs into item workflow process.Ensure timely SAP transactions by site resources : inbound material receipt, production posting, outbound shipment.Ensure all production and raw / packs suppliers paid on-time by managing account payable through CORA.Drive process enhancements, either through new systems, additional functionality, or procedure changes that will increase business effectiveness.Displays a high degree of initiative and participation within the area towards meeting the area objectives.Benefits
