A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - Med Surg Job Details : - Work night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM - 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours (must be indicated on submission form) - 13-week assignment length - Weekend hours as required by facility / every other weekend - No call requirements - Patient ratios : 1 : 5-6 on days, 1 : 6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed) - May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs - Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation - Required : Current RN License eligible for Missouri licensure, BLS from AHA only - Preferred : ACLS from AHA only - 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required - Work with Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine - EMR system : EPIC - Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes - Flu vaccination required November 1-April 1 - Care for Med / Surg patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities - Utilize nursing process for patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation - Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments - Physical demands include standing / walking most of shift, lifting up to 50 lbs with assistance Facility : This hospital has served the South County area for more than 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
