Registered Nurse; RN ICU

Position : Registered Nurse (RN) ICU\nLocation : Township of Geneva\n\nOverview\n\nRegistered Nurse (RN) ICU - (24000\n\nBIT) provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients / families using the nursing process to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.\nEssential Functions\n

• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.\n
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.\n
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.\n
• Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.\n
• Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.\nRequired For All Jobs\n
• Performs other duties as assigned.\n
• Complies with all policies and standards.\n

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n
• Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing Required or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required\n
• (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred\n
• Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing Required or (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required or (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred\n\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities\n
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice required.\n
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) required.\n
• 1 year of RN experience required. Prior ICU experience strongly preferred.\n
• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Required\n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required or must be obtained during nursing orientation\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Adult and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.\n\nAdditional Licenses and Certifications\n
