Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer with expertise in physics, electrical engineering, and machine learning to lead the development of our next generation of consumer metal detection products. The ideal candidate will bridge theoretical knowledge with practical product development experience to drive innovation in our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead research and development initiatives for new technologies and product improvements
  • Design and implement advanced sensor systems and signal processing algorithms
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques to enhance detection accuracy and discrimination capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform prototypes into market-ready products
  • Conduct experimental testing and validation of new technologies
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and scientific advancements
  • Contribute to intellectual property development and patent applications
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
  • Strong foundation in electromagnetic theory, signal processing, and sensor technology
  • Demonstrated experience bringing real products to market, not just research concepts
  • Practical knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in signal processing
  • Experience with embedded systems design and programming
  • Proven track record of innovation in sensing technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Prior experience in consumer electronics product development
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools
  • Background in geophysical instrumentation or related fields
  • Published research or patents in relevant areas
