Supervisor Environmental Svcs

The Environmental Services Supervisor will provide day-to-day supervision for the EVS department under the guidance of the Director and / or Manager; ensures a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to patients, visitors, and staff. This position also is responsible for daily oversight of regulatory standards, financial stewardship of department operations, and collaboration with other management team members to support the department in its daily functions.
Trains and develops a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques, process and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure we provide a clean, safe environment as we help save lives.
Provides supervision of staff, making sound business decisions in support of the hospital's mission, vision, and values. Demonstrates supervision in providing an optimal environment for patient care, safety, service, and value. Supervises the day-to-day operations of the department; ensures a clean, safe environment and aesthetics to patients, family, visitors, physicians, nurses, and staff as we help save lives.

Required Education and Experience
Required High School diploma or equivalent. Required - 3 Years in Environmental Services.
Preferred Education and Experience
Preferred 1 Year in supervisory level experience in supervising staff.
Required Licensure and Certifications
None
Preferred Licensure and Certifications
Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred.
